Field guide
schema_version identifies this wrapper’s format. data_through is the newest observation date in Pacific time, not a promise that every rate was verified that night. current_models describes only the current registry: provider/service, tier, model, base list rates in USD per million tokens, context, official source, date and verification status.
provider_tier_history retains the original public history: each provider has lite, mid and pro arrays containing date, i (input USD per million tokens), o (output USD per million tokens) and optional provenance. cf: true means carried forward; otherwise it is a verified observation. Other original fields are preserved.
Interpretation and attribution
History belongs to provider tiers and can span multiple models. Do not join today’s model label onto the entire series. Historical observations are preserved, including earlier errors; consult Price Moves for dated corrections and the model graveyard for replacements. Promotions are separate in promos.json. Batch and Cache terms are separate in batch_pricing.json and cache_pricing.json.
Provider pages remain authoritative for current published prices. Cite TokenScale (tokenscale.dev), by Bilton Projects, and include the observation date and status. Public download availability does not grant a new data licence. See the methodology and reliability record.
